Rattlesnakes are venomous snakes distinguished by their keratinous scales at the tip of their tail. These scales act as a sound-producing organ, created by the rapid vibrations of the segments at the end of their tail. This sound is used to intimidate approaching enemies. These snakes are found from North America to Central America, including Mexico, and mostly inhabit and forage in arid areas such as deserts, preferring to move on the ground rather than in trees. And they are nocturnal hunters.
 
The perfumer chose the rattlesnake as one of the inspirations for this collection because this snake possesses a captivating charm from its strong and surprisingly distinctive body patterns, as well as its sharp, needle-like fangs and potent venom, which reflect its inherent power and mystery.
 
Furthermore, the rattlesnake also conveys warmth in a different way. Research has shown that rattlesnakes exhibit social behavior, often slithering together in groups with other rattlesnakes. This discovery challenges the conventional idea that reptiles are solitary hunters with very little complex social behavior.
 
The tranquility that arises from being close to members of their group is called "social buffering"—a phenomenon where being with something familiar reduces or eliminates fear and stress, which is usually only seen in humans. Combining the strength and mysterious power of the rattlesnake with this warmth and calmness is a key inspiration for creating the scents in this collection.
 
The relationship between humans and rattlesnakes has always been complex and profound. The Hopi people in the southwestern United States revere rattlesnakes as messengers of the rain-giving spirits. And rattlesnakes are also an important part of rituals held every two years to pray for rain and fertility.
 
Historically, the Aztecs and Yucataeks/Mayans of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica also revered rattlesnakes, believing them to be associated with rain and the harvest season. The Apache viewed rattlesnakes as symbols of rebirth and restoration, while other Native American cultures often associated them with violence and revenge.

The heart notes offer a complex floral aroma of jasmine, followed by the warm woody notes of sandalwood and the fresh, sweet, and green floral notes of geranium and vetiver, adding depth, intensity, and earthiness.
